Dodge

Dodge can be traced back to brothers, John and Horace Dodge, who started the US-based company by first making bicycles, in 1899.  They then began supplying parts to local Detroit automakers, and by 1914 they made their own Dodge car.  In just three years the company began to make trucks, and in 1928 the Chrysler Corporation purchased the Dodge Brothers brand.  It went through a short period of time, 1998-2007, where the company was named DaimlerChrysler, but is now a part of the Chrysler Group LLC, which has a newly acquired partnership with Fiat.

Dodge vehicles already have the reputation as rugged and reliable, but Fiat’s goal for the company is to redesign some models to offer aggressive styling, coupled with high performance to make Chrysler more competitive in the small and midsize car range.

Dodge produces automobiles, minivans, and sport utility vehicles, with manufacturing and marketing happening in more than 60 countries throughout the world.  That is an incredible accomplishment knowing two guys started the brand by first making bicycles.

New Dodge models include, but are not limited to, the Dodge Avenger, the Dodge Caliber, the Dodge Caravan, the Dodge Challenger, the Dodge Charger (LX), the Dodge Durango, the Dodge Journey, and the Dodge Nitro.
Older selected Dodge models include, but are not limited to, the Dodge Viper, the Dodge 50 Series, the Dodge Aries, the Dodge Colt, the Dodge Daytona, the Dodge Dynasty, the Dodge Intrepid, the Dodge Magnum, the Dodge Neon, the Dodge Omni, the Dodge Ram 50, the Dodge Ram Van, the Dodge RamCharger, the Dodge Shadow, the Dodge Sprinter, the Dodge SRT-4, the Dodge Stealth, and the Dodge Stratus.
