Pontiac Windshield

Pontiac is another line of automobile makers with a storied history.  Pontiac began as the Pontiac Buggy Company, which was founded in 1893, in Pontiac, Michigan.  It became a part of the General Motors Company in 1926, and skyrocketed in popularity.  Pontiac may be best known for its famous car, the LeMans GTO, or the Gran Turismo Omologato, which debuted in 1964.  That vehicle is many times credited with starting the muscle-car craze that first took over Detroit, and then spread nationwide.

Pontiac vehicles have always held the performance title in their division of General Motors, and continually designed models to the delight of car fans.  Their cars always seemed to showcase excitement, had a lot power, and always had great handling.  Unfortunately for car fans, General Motors had to make some really tough decisions during the 2009 economic crisis, and one of them was to phase out the Pontiac brand by the end of 2010.  This was due in part to the government demanding a restructure and a viability plan to promote a better business plan.  General Motors Company then made the decision to concentrate on their four core brands:  Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC.

Pontiac models include, but are not limited to, the Pontiac G8, the Pontiac G6, Pontiac G5, the Pontiac G3, the Pontiac Solstice, the Pontiac Torrent, the Pontiac Vibe, the Pontiac 6000, the Pontiac Aztek, the Pontiac Bonneville, the Pontiac Firebird, the Pontiac Grand Am, the Pontiac Grand Prix, the Pontiac GTO, the Pontiac LeMans, the Pontiac Montana, the Pontiac Montana SV6, the Pontiac Sunbird, the Pontiac Solstice, the Pontiac Sunfire, and the Pontiac Trans Sport.
