Also, this type of glass doesn’t easily break off into sharp tiny pieces like regular glass does. When subject to a heavy blow, tempered glass will just crack into small circular pieces without even shattering off at all, most of the times.

Insulated glass, also referred to as hermetically sealed glass, is comprised of a double pane of glass with a aluminum spacer tube in between. The space within the glass is hermetically sealed to create a completely moisture-free area that further increases the isolation qualities of the window.

Generally speaking, the more expensive a type of glass, the most energy-efficient it will be. If you’re planning to replace your commercial windows, you should be aware of this trade-off: expensive glasses will usually help reduce your heating bills, while cheap glasses may have just the opposite effect.
